Pokémon GO Solstice Event 2021: How To Prepare For The Solstice Event, Lunatone, Solrock and Spheal
The Solstice Event 2021 wraps up in Pokémon GO now, bringing with it event-exclusive research and the chance to catch region-exclusive Pokemon. What's more, Pokemon Go solstice event will feature Pokemon like Lunatone, Solrock, and Spheal appearing in the wild. Let's take a look!
What worked in this Pokémon GO event
·
Regigigas: This one is debatable. The Shiny release of Regigigas in Pokémon GO — and, really, the first major Tier Five release of this former Research and EX Raid-exclusive boss — is one of the most exciting raid features in recent memory. The thing is, though, while Niantic has been using the above image of Regigigas to promote the Solstice Event, these releases are actually two separate things. Regigigas will continue on as raid boss for the rest of the month as Pokémon GO carries on to new events. This is a positive footnote in regards to the event, but not really a true aspect of the event.
·
Creativity: It's cool to see Pokémon GO give different spawns and different raid features to the Northern and Southern hemispheres. This tied into the event's theme nicely.
Lunatone, Solrock and Spheal
Players in the southern hemisphere can expect Snorunt, Snover, Winter Form Deerling, and more Pokemon to appear in the wild. There’s a Shiny Snorunt as well for those who get lucky. These Pokemon will be appearing in raids in the southern hemisphere: Lapras, Piloswine, Snorunt, and more. Globally, Lunatone, Solrock, Klink and more Pokemon will be appearing in raids. During the course of the event, Lunatone and Solrock will be appearing in the wild globally. Later, Lunatone will be appearing exclusively in the eastern hemisphere, and Solrock exclusively in the western hemisphere.

The best way to go about finding these potential Shiny Pokemon is by completing the Field Research Tasks. All of the Pokemon involved have their Shiny forms in the game. Not only that, but regardless of hemisphere, Regigigas is appearing in 5-star raid battles. This is the best chance players have to find its Shiny form as well. Make sure to not miss out on this event and do everything to fill up that Pokedex.
