Who are the boss cards for the 6th Inning Program?
As with any Inning Program within MLB The Show, players will get to choose from one of three 99 OVR boss cards to add to their collection. This time around, we have the following options.
Pedro Martinez – Pitcher
George Brett –  3B
Matt Kemp – CF
As per usual, SDS has added three players that play at three entirely different positions, so this may lean your decision to one over the other. But, regardless of who you pick, there’re going to bolster your lineup right away. Keep in mind, when building your Diamond Dynasty lineup, power-hitting and effective pitching are going to be your primary outlets for success. Keep in mind when picking a pitching card, if they’re able to throw a Sinker or an effective Slider, then you may want to lean towards them, as they’re the meta pitches right now.
 
Which 6th Inning Program boss should you choose?
As always, the choice that you make will ultimately depend on your end game goal. If you’re looking for an ace, Pedro seems like the ideal fit. Martinez has a good arsenal of pitches, highlighted by a solid heater, and the velocity on it is not too bad, either. Kemp, on the other hand, would not be a bad pick, thanks to his tremendous hitting and speed combo. However, Kemp is a right-handed hitter, and given that there are a few big name right-handed hitting outfielder (Acuna Jr., Clemente, Guerrero Sr.) options floating around, that does hurt his overall value. And as for Brett, expect this card to be a hitting machine if you can master his swing. Unfortunately, don’t expect this item to bring the power that an Awards Chipper Jones or All-Star Rafael Devers can on the field.
 
Missions
There are the usual three online missions, but we do get our first sighting here of the Extra Innings missions here at the launch of the new program. And, of course, more missions will be added throughout the program.

Extra Innings Dubs – Win 5 games in Extra Innings single-player mode (7,500 XP)
Milestone Moments – Tally 9 innings pitched with any Milestone Series pitchers in online modes (5,000 XP)
Extra Innings Milestone Moments – Tally 20 innings pitched with any Milestone Series pitchers in Extra Innings single-player mode (5,000 XP)
MVP Moves – Score 12 runs with any Awards Series players in online modes (5,000 XP)
Extra Innings MVP Moves – Score 24 runs with any Awards Series players in Extra Innings single-player mode (5,000 XP)
