Meltan is a lil’ tiny steel-type Pokémon, measuring only 8 inches in height. When a large number of Meltan combine, they will evolve into Melmeta, which is a pure Steel-type Pokémon. Melmetal was worshiped in ancient times as a Pokémon with the power to create metal. Because of its Evolution from Meltan, its body has hardened and is now incredibly sturdy. It can also execute a powerful, unique Steel-type physical move known as Double Iron Bash. By using the hex nut in its chest like an axle to spin its arms around, Melmetal can deal a double strike to its opponent. The weight of the heavy hex nuts on its arms combined with the spinning motion gives the Double Iron Bash move extraordinary power.
To evolve Meltan into Melmetel, you need to collect 400 Candy in Pokémon Go. Besides, Melmetal can only be caught in Pokémon Go, so not in Let's Go or any other game as things stand. Once you've evolved it in Pokémon Go, you can still transfer it to Let's Go - either your copy or a friend's. Melmetal can follow you around, battle, and do anything else in Pokémon Let's Go just like any other. By the way, you can buy

How to catch Meltan in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee
To get Meltan in Pokemon Let's Go, players will need to get Meltan in Pokemon Go first, and then transfer Meltan from your copy of Pokemon Go to your copy of Pokemon Let's Go. This is done by transferring it to a place called Go Park in Let's Go. Doing so will award you a Mystery Box back in Pokémon Go, which can be opened for just 30 minutes, letting multiple wild Meltan out into the wild in your Pokémon Go game, where you can catch it. After 30 minutes the Mystery Box will close, and wild Meltan will stop appearing in Pokémon Go for you.
It will stay closed for an undisclosed period of time. Once that 'cooldown' time has elapsed, you can open the Mystery Box again to let more Meltan out into the wild in Pokémon Go. Like other transferred Pokemon, you will need to enter Go Park and catch it in Pokemon Let's Go, and then it's properly yours. You can catch and transfer multiple Meltan into Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu or Eevee, and it appears you can also acquire multiple versions of its evolution Melmetal, too.
