Pokemon Go Ex Raids are about to undergo a transformation, as Niantic have confirmed that a new Mythical Pocket Monster, Deoxys Defense Form is coming to Pokemon Go as an EX raid battle on March 25. Deoxys Normal Form and Attack Form have previously been available in ex raid battles. It is the first time it will be available as an ex raid boss.

 
The Basic Of Ex Raid Battles
 
Ex raid battles are held by gyms whose locations are randomly. To trigger ex raid battles, Pokemon Go trainers have to successfully completed a raid at a qualifying gym. Note that a normal battle pass won’t work. In addition, the EX raid passes are available to a specific date and time. Players are able to see which Gyms can host an EX Raid and when it will be through a handy tag when they look at the Gym details.

This new event could potentially introduce one of the two Eevee evolutions from the generation 4, Leafeon. In addition, during the event, Niantic would increase the spawn rate of other grass-type Pokemon from generation four, with Cherubi being one of them.
