Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Charge is Live Now: Here’s Everything You Should Know
Apex Legends season 2, titled Battle Charge is finally here! Below, Rvgm.com has outlined everything you need to know about the new season.
What's new in Apex Legends season 2?
Respawn made some big changes in the second season of Apex Legends, but also a lot of small updates players have been wanting for some time.
New Legend Wattson
Natalie “Wattson”Paquette is the daughter of the lead electrical engineer responsible for the title’s battle royale setting. “Wattson fights in the arena she helped build,” according to the press release. “Destroying incoming missiles, recharging shields, creating fences, and using her pylon to silence fights that get too loud.”
New Map Changes
Along with the new season, the King’s Canyon map has gotten a redesign, following the destruction of the Repulsor Tower. This redesign doesn’t simply give the map an updated look, however. The tower’s collapse has also allowed the planet’s native fauna to return to the canyon, bringing pterodactyl-like flying beasts and colossal reptilian quadrupeds.
New Weapon
As for the weapon changes, the season 2 patch is bringing with it a new gun called the L-STAR. The light machine gun will fire larger projectiles than other weapons and can be used to open doors in buildings. Since it is so powerful, it can only be found in airdrops and comes with a limited supply of ammo that can't be refilled.
There are also a few new attachments in the game, including Hammerpoint Rounds which will allow pistols like the P2020 and the Mozambique to do extra damage to unshielded players.
Daily and Weekly challenges introduced
Instead of endless grinding in season 1, Apex Legends Season 2 introduces daily and weekly challenges, which offers players a better way to level up and earn rewards.
New Legendary Items
Of course, season 2 also introduces a large amount of new legendary items including new skins for Legends and weapons, more Crafting Metals and Apex Crates, and so on.
The first of these is the Intimidator, a legendary weapon skin for the Spitfire. This skin is available to all players when they purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass. Along with this legendary skin, there are several others throughout different levels of the Battle Pass. At Level 75, players gain access to the legendary Jade Tiger skin for Octane. Currently at Level 25, players will unlock the Prince of Darkness skin for Caustic. If you don’t want to wait that long, however, you can purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins and jump ahead 25 tiers. If you lack of coins, don’t worry and
