Best Spots for Players to Land in King’s Canyon
The Classic Landmark: The Cage
The Cage is something of a classic King’s Canyon landmark in Apex Legends. The Cage area used to feature one of the tallest structures in the Apex Games, with players battling for control of the structure’s highly defensible upper levels. However, the whole area has been reworked for Season 14 and the Cage itself has had its height reduced, addressing player feedback that dislodging a squad entrenched in The Cage’s upper levels was proving too difficult. The Cage’s upper levels are still a strong position to be in, but players will find they’ll have a harder time holding them. It’s a great place to land for a fun early-game battle, and there’s usually a lot of good-quality gear and equipment in the area, including an Explosive Hold containing high-tier loot that can be cracked open with grenades.
Swamps Spot
While it’s a little more off the beaten path than other prime drop locations on Kings Canyon, Swamps is a high-tier loot zone with plenty of goodies for an entire squad. It’s easy to get kitted up here before rotating into more populated zones for an advantageous fight.
Containment Spot
Containment is another of Kings Canyon’s most popular drops—and for good reason. It’s frequently considered a hot loot zone. Even if it doesn’t bear that coveted description, it’s still a great place to drop thanks to its centralized location and likely proximity to a fight.
Salvage Spot
Salvage is in a great place on Kings Canyon, located where Skull Town and Thunderdome used to be. It’s in close proximity to Mirage Voyage, and then older locations like Market and Gauntlet. This provides you with either fresh hunting grounds after finding some high-tier loot, or escape paths when things get busy.
This is a massive excavation site and certainly one of the best places to drop. However, do watch out because that close proximity advantage we just spoke about can also mean a lot of gunfights in the early game. This is the location to land if you fancy a challenge.
Water Treatment Spot
One of the most popular destinations on the map. Water Treatment is an area of Kings Canyon that’s packed with supply bins and good floor loot, not to mention the new Explosive Hold on the right side of the POI as you head down the coast towards Repulsor.
You can walk away from this place set up for the final rings at times, but it all depends on whether you can fend off the handful of teams that also have the same goals in mind.
When players know these good spots to land in Apex Legends, they can get good weapons in the beginning of the game and make good progress in the matches. You can also
